Refund & Cancellation Policy

Thank you for purchasing tickets with Carlitos Comedy Club (“Organizer”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). Please review our policy regarding ticket cancellations, refunds, and event rescheduling below.
1. General Policy & Statutory Right of Withdrawal
Dated event exception: under Article L. 222-9 (7°) of the Luxembourg Consumer Code (Code de la consommation) and Article 16(l) of EU Directive 2011/83/EU on Consumer Rights, the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal (cooling-off period) does not apply to contracts for leisure services provided on a specific date or during a specific period.
All ticket purchases for scheduled events are final. Except as explicitly outlined below, tickets cannot be refunded, returned, or exchanged once the purchase is confirmed.
Accidental duplicate orders: If you accidentally purchase the same ticket twice, contact us at carlitos@carlitoscomedy.club within 24 hours of the order and we will refund the duplicate in full.
2. Event Cancellation
If an event is cancelled entirely by the Organizer and not rescheduled, all ticket holders will automatically receive a full refund of the total amount paid, including the ticket face value and any service or booking fees.
Refunds are issued using the original payment method within 10 to 14 business days of the cancellation announcement.
3. Event Postponement or Significant Rescheduling
If an event is postponed or moved to a different date or venue:
- Your original ticket remains valid for the newly rescheduled date.
- If you cannot make the rescheduled date, you may request a refund by emailing carlitos@carlitoscomedy.club within 14 days of the postponement notice.
- Refund requests received after this deadline will not be honoured, and the ticket will remain valid for the new date.
Reasonable adjustments to the door or show start times on the originally scheduled date (for example, shifts of up to 3 hours) do not constitute a postponement and do not entitle the ticket holder to a refund.
4. Attendee Non-Attendance & Personal Circumstances
We do not issue refunds, credits, or compensation if you:
- Fail to attend or arrive late to the event.
- Are unable to attend due to personal circumstances (illness, travel delays, schedule conflicts).
- Are refused admission or removed from the venue due to violation of venue policies, disorderly conduct, or failure to present valid identification.
Lineups are subject to change without notice. A change in the performing comedians or support acts does not constitute an event cancellation or significant rescheduling, provided the event itself takes place.
5. Force Majeure
The Organizer is not liable for failure to perform its obligations where performance is prevented by events beyond its reasonable control, including acts of God, severe weather, strikes, power outages, illness, or restrictions imposed by public authorities.
In such circumstances, the Organizer's liability is limited to the refund remedies set out in this policy. The Organizer is not liable for travel, accommodation, or any other personal costs incurred by attendees in connection with an event.
6. Ticket Transfers & Name Changes
While tickets are non-refundable, you may transfer your ticket to another individual at no additional charge, provided the ticket is not resold above face value.
To update the attendee name or transfer your ticket, please contact us at carlitos@carlitoscomedy.club with your order number at least 48 hours prior to event doors opening.
7. Dispute Resolution & Consumer Mediation
If an issue or dispute cannot be resolved directly with our team, consumers residing in Luxembourg or the EU may submit a request for out-of-court settlement to the Luxembourg consumer ombudsman (Médiateur de la consommation): Médiateur de la consommation, Ancien Hôtel de la Monnaie, 6 Rue du Palais de Justice, L-1841 Luxembourg
